User types and access rights in Caren.

There are three sections that can be of accessed and there are two levels of permission for each.
A user can have access to an rentalswebs and accounts.
Furthermore a user can have admin or user rights to each.

Rental rights give access to the rental system interface.

Rental admins have access to all the modules of the system as well as all reservations from all sources (webs).

Rental users are more restrictive, you can choose which modules they have access to and they only have access to reservations from webs they also have access to.
To choose which modules a user has access to, you will need to go through Admin > Rentals, select the rental you want to give access to and select the users tab.
Add or select the user and you will get this screen and you can select which modules this user has access to.
Note: Users do not have access to reservations that have no web attached. We recommend selecting a web for all reservations, even those made manually.

There is a third type, agents. At the moment they behave just like users and this user type is very rarely used. We are planning to expand on this user type in the future and give it a more distinct identity.

Account access is usually default. When a user is created it has access to the account of the admin that created the user. User access to the account is required for rental access.
Account admins have access to more settings than rental admins (the Admin tab in the top left of the interface), and if you are reading this you most likely have account admin rights.

Web rights give access to reservations made via the web. For example if a user has access to the caren.is web then they have access to reservations made via caren.is.

Web admins and users are mostly the same. For rental admins and users there is no difference. For account admins however, the difference lies in being able to assign templates, currencies and languages for the web in the Admin settings.
